Description
An original stereo 4th press of PPM on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix YEX1/1. Stampers 1M/1-GG. Please note the labels are consistent with 4th press there's no 'Sold In The UK..' statement and the perimeter text reads 'Parlophone'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo Ernest J Day cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In absolutely astonishing condition for any PPM copy, let alone the sought after stereo version. The surfaces are nice and shiny and we can't make out more than a few of those very insignificant marks either side [bag rash type] - certainly nothing that is even vaguely going to feature audibly. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are totally silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Make no mistake about it this LP is truly a one-off..The audio is absolutely stunning...one would say nigh on perfect...all the way through. Perfect resolution and tremendous transparency right down into the mix. This is in no way overgraded or HYPED...we've auditioned many mono's and only one or two could ever match this level of preservation. Interference is totally absent. We couldn't detect more than a couple of crackles [literally] the whole way through. FINAL UPGRADE...
Cover (Ex) It is so so hard trying to find these early 1963 covers in decent condition..and then comes along a fine looking stereo 1963 copy. Wow! Lovely shiny front with bold colours and no sign of ageing at all. A couple of very minor creases are just visible. The rear is in equally fine form and has totally escaped the usual fading. Just the very lightest of handling wear just visible. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity. It really is like no other specimen I've ever seen...
