Please Please Me an original 1967 pressing on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1N/2N. Stampers 6-P/11-RMP. Ariel font used on the labels. From this point onwards [1967] PPM was being pressed predominantly in Stereo and the covers would nearly all have been printed by Garrod. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed by Ernest J Day. Also included is the original EMI Sepia inner advertising sleeve. This LP would particularly suit someone looking for ultimate audio performance. I don't think I've ever heard a rendition quite as good as this one. I'm tempted to call it perfect - yes it really is that close.
Vinyl (NM) A truly perfectly preserved vintage record. I shouldn't need to remind anyone that this level of grading on a mid-sixties record is very very unusual. The labels are absolutely pristine and we couldn't make out more than one slight spindle trace. Under close inspection we could only make out one tiny ultra light mark on the surface, which is shiny like the day it was pressed. There is no doubt in my mind that this LP has seen very very little use at all. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a NEARMINT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are absolutely silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Even on a good copy 'Love Me Do' often exhibits a few light crackles here and there - NOT HERE. This copy is absolutely stunning and the closest you will ever get to finding/playing a sealed copy. The audio quality is absolutely superb. Perfect highs and lows, great dynamics, and importantly not the merest hint of groovewear or static crackle. We didn't detect more than a couple of ultra-light crackles the whole way through. I would say it is the best rendition in mono or stereo I've heard.
Cover (Ex-) Remains in great condition and has clearly been looked after. Nice and shiny front with no defects. The rear is largely free of fading which so often blights these covers. There is, however, a couple of light marks here and there plus a patch where the surface is grazed [visible in photo]. The cover only exhibits light edge wear and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains great rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Very little ageing and one tiny split. The record will come housed in an Exstatic Inner Sleeve.

Any purchase is guaranteed to get to you quickly, safely, and with total satisfaction, or your money back.
