THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'
1967 UK *MONO* PRESSING LP
This mono disc was pressed around 1967 with the '6th' variation of the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1202
Both labels bear the 'Sold in UK..' text & have the rim text beginning 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd..'.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 1 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a small mono logo.
Complete with its original plain white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-2N
Stamper codes: 15/RHL & 6/GR
Disc weight: 152g

An immaculate pair displaying just three or four tiny spindle marks to the side 2 centre hole only.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Both playing surfaces are totally 'as new' in strong daylight and bear no surface marks or wear whatsoever. Careful inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals just some insignificant wispy inner-sleeve removal hairlines on side 2 but no further visual blemishes or wear on this pristine disc.
Play: NEAR MINT
Everything on this barely played copy sounds fresh, clean & clear with no traces of any groove/play wear or background noise on or between any track, and certainly no click, pops or any other such distraction from this great sounding mono copy.
Cover
VERY GOOD +
A strong and firm example with some general light storage & handling wear but no major faults. The front panel has numerous 'thumbnails' wrinkles together with some corner rubbing and slight opening edge wear. The rear panel bears some light handling marks but is free form any writing or missing paper. All flipbacks, both seams and the fully worded spine are all intact and undamaged.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with a few light storage bends but no writing, tears or splits.
