Description
This is the original MONO first pressing of the UK 7" Exteneded Player "Magical Mystery Tour" by The Beatles on the Parlophone label catalogue number MMT-1. These original Extended Players are tricky to obtain in decent condition but this one is in a lovely Excellent condition.
Matrix numbers side 1, 7XCE 18435-1, side 2, 7XCE 18434-2, side 3, 7XCE 18436-1, side 4, 7XCE 18437-2. Stampers side 1 @ 9 oclock, 7, @ 3 oclock GTR, side 2, @ 9 oclock 10, @ 3 oclock RPH, side 3, @ 9 0clock 9, @ 3 oclock PG, side 4 @ 9 oclock 8 @ 3 oclock LJO.
The labels have "The Gramophone Company" rim and "Sold In UK text". Labels are bright and clear and have no damage of any kind. There are moderate spindle lines on all four sides.
The vinyl retains a beautiful shine on all four sides. There are only one or two very light and small marks on side 3 but otherwise there are NO SCRATCHES, NO SCUFFS and NO OTHER SURFACE MARKS.
The outer sleeve is in nice condition, the only detraction being a score mark to the front, this is not deep but it is visible. The laminated front and rear remain beautifully preserved and clean. The item is complete with the original wavy top inners although one does have a number of creases (see scan). All in all this is a respectable item in nice condition.
This is an lovely item that has survived remarkably well for 49 years. How time flies.
