Description

The Beatles Love Me Do 7" 1962 Red label Parlophone first issue

The first official EMI Beatles release.

This version released on 7" single WAS the Ringo version, recorded one week before the Andy White re-make. In January 1963 Parlophone ceased production of it's red label design

This copy is numbered 45-R 4949.

My copy-

Side 1 matrix is 7XCE 17144-1N - indicating Ringo on Drums and No Tambourine Version

Side 2 matrix is 7XCE-17145-1N

...........Also in the run-off grooves, on both sides of the record, are the letters ZT relating to the Tax payable at the time, which apparently dates the release to 10th April 1962, meaning it’s a first issue.

These letters changed as the tax changed, and therefore one can date these red label pressings precisely.

The wavy-lined sleeve is original to it-

labels nice and bright and clean, almost new looking.

some very light marks seen on the playing surface if held under strong light, but bear in mind how old the record is.

 Please read before bidding!

The quality of my Service Provision is of great importance to me and I strive to provide each customer with as much personal attention as is possible. If you have any queries regarding an item or items, if what you've received doesn't meet your expectations or you wish to comment upon some aspect of the service you have received, please feel free to email me

Returns-

Please study the photos and let me know if you have any queries prior to bidding, allowing me enough time to provide a reply.

Apologies but due to recurrent problems I no longer  send items to Italy unless international signed for postage is paid for -

Please do not pay me via PayPal  e-cheques, as this service

usually take 11 days (!!) before PayPal actually pay them.

I will combine items to reduce shipping costs where appropriate/available and will quote combined shipping: please ask stating items of interest.

I’ve had a bit of trouble with a return recently-I need to be clear that, if for any reason a buyer needs to return an item, the buyer pays the return postage, not me, otherwise I get stung for the original postage AND 2 or 3 times that if it’s returned from abroad. I try to be as clear as possible about the condition of an item, please take time to read the item description closely.

The photograph or scan  is the actual item. I avoid the e-bay stock photo system, as this doesn't represent the actual item for auction

If you win an auction and are a non UK resident please don’t be anxious if I don’t invoice immediately- it usually takes me a while to figure out the postage-

Items are very carefully packed and posted/shipped by the cheapest method, unless requested otherwise.

If your item gets lost in the post all I can provide is proof of posting and you have to claim the money from Royal Mail.

Outside the UK the only method of payment is paypal. If you are outside the UK and unable to pay by pay pal, please do not bid.

Should you win, I expect to be contacted within 3 days of the auction end.

The seller cannot be held responsible for any items lost by the postal systems used, therefore proof of posting is obtained for every item sent.

I would recommend items exceeding £34 that the purchaser asks for insured delivery methods.

Will accept payment through paypal and personal cheque, although I'll wait until the cheque has cleared before posting

full money back guarantee is offered if not completely satisfied, but if you submit money to me, paypal will deduct their percentage from the payment and I can only return what I actually receive.  any refund shall be calculated with the paypal fees taken out.

Please contact me through e bay if there is anything that needs elucidation…thanks.

Happy bidding!
