Description

  On offer here is a piece of Rock n Roll history! The Beatles 1st single release on Parlophone 'Love Me Do c/w P.S. I Love You'!!!

This single is the April 1962 release on the red Parlophone label and is a much coveted and collectable Beatles rarity!

The record is the original 1962 release not the 1980s re-release. The 1980s re-release credits George Martin and has the word 'MONO' on the label and does not have the 'ARDMORE & BEECHWOOD LTD' credit on the labels left hand side which this copy clearly does as can be seen in the pictures. This copy has the 'ZT' tax code in the run off at 9 o'clock dating it as April 1962! The record has the matrix numbers 7XCE 7144-1N and 7XCE 7145-1N denoting it as the very 1st Parlophone red label press, a real slice of rock n roll history!!!

Conditon-wise this isn't the cleanest single you will ever see, it has obviously been well played and could probably do with a professional clean. I cannot test play this as I no longer own a turntable but there are several 'scuff' marks and 'nail' marks visible which may affect the quality of the playback. The single is in the original Parlophone sleeve itself a collectors item.

I should perhaps put a small reserve on this but I am going to start the bidding very low and let the auction run its course so you could get yourself a real batgain!!!
