Description

A Stereo 1st Pressing of Help! on the UK Parlophone label from 1965. Matrix 1/1. Stampers 1-AH/4-RH. Please note Stereo 1st presses are identifiable by the fact that the label holds the abbreviated 'Lark Mus.' credit and there's a space between the asterisk and the text 'I Need You'. The 1st presses also came housed in a cover with an outline stereo, as this one does, not with filled in 'stereo' text. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In great condition and has only seen light to moderate use. There are a few spindle trails so this copy is not mint. Under close inspection there are a couple of marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is minimal - all we detected was a touch of light static in one or two spots - and nothing remotely invasive. This is a very very decent rendition and the true stereo 1st press to boot!
Cover (Ex) In very nice condition and has clearly been looked after down the years. That iconic front cover is still lovely and WHITE. No major issues at all just a couple of light indentations. The rear is in equally fine form - it seems to have escaped most of the fading that so often afflicts these covers. Please note there's one tiny initial in the top right corner. All flipbacks are secure and edge wear is very light. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Emitex (Ex-) Only slight ageing and a bit of creasing - but no splits.
