Description

The Beatles - 'Help!'. PCS 3071.

The Beatles 1965 UK 1st press STEREO FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO 'Help!' LP. Released on the 6th August 1965, this was the Beatles fifth official album release and second film soundtrack.

These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant. Released on the yellow and black Parlophone label. The labels feature the 'Sold in the UK ....' text, 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd' rim print and the 'KT tax' code embossed on side 1. The cover features 'STEREO' in outline block type (only on 1st pressings) and is an early Garrod & Lofthouse issue with 'Patents Pending' printed. The vinyl comes housed within the correct original 'Emitex' inner sleeve.

The matrix numbers are:

Side 1: YEX 168-1 MP 1.

Side 2: YEX 169-1 MO 3.

The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT- condition.

Both labels are in VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+ condition. NO damage but some unusual areas of chalk like residue. Mainly on side 2 (see pic).

The cover is in VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT- condition. Old price sticker on back cover.

The inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT- condition.
