This EXCELLENT UK 1st STEREO pressing dates from initial August 1965 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3071
Both labels bear the 'Sold in UK....' text with 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
An 'MT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrix numbers: YEX 168-1 & YEX 169-1
Stamper codes: 4/ML & 3/MT
Vinyl weight: 147g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover & original rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex'..' inner-sleeve

Labels: EXCELLENT
A clean set with a moderate collection of light light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both playing surface are clean with no noticeable surface marks in strong daylight. Closer examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals some light wispy hairlines consistent with inner-sleeve contact/removal which are more prevalent on side 2, but no other significant or major faults either side.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT
This copy has received a number of careful plays on good-quality equipment but every track plays cleanly & clearly without any groove/playwear distortion or crackle. In fact, apart form a touch of low-level vinyl background between tracks, my single careful play-check detected to audible distraction or faults anywhere.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A clean & strong example of this easily worn cover which retains a clean & bright high-gloss front panel with a few small spine bends but no 'thumbnails' or any other significant issues. There are tiny bruises to the corners and a hint of wear to the opening edges but no tears or feathering anywhere. The rear panel is very clean & white with the only blemish being a small 2cm area or rubbing just below the upper flipback near the right corner.
All flipbacks are clean & fully intact and both seams and the spine are smooth, unstressed & unworn.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with slight age-toning but no writing, tears or seam splits.
