On offer here are TWO EXCELLENT original UK 1st mono pressings of their 1964/5 film soundtrack albums.
Both are 1963/4 pressings on the yellow & black Parlophone label.
'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT' (PMC 1230)
Matrices: XEX 481-3N & XEX 482-3N
Stamper codes: 2/TA & 4/GRG
Vinyl weight: 146g
Housed in a scarce front laminated 'Ernest J. Day' printed cover (with 'old-style' flipbacks) & original rice-paper lined inner.
CONDITION
Vinyl: EXCELLENT
A fine sounding, little played example which retains clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces bearing little more than a few harmless wispy paper hairlines from the inner-sleeve & a sparkling rainbow shine. Both labels bear no more than a handful of light spindle trails around each centre hole and the sound quality is full of life with nothing more than a touch of vinyl background between tracks and on some of the quieter passages.
Cover: EXCELLENT -
This fully intact, hard to find variant bears a clean, high-gloss front panel showing little more than a few small lower edge wrinkles. All corners and both opening edges are in nice shape too. There is some mild foxing and age-toning to the rear panel but all of the delicate flipbacks are in-place and undamaged. Both seams & the spine are too unworn.

CONDITION
Vinyl: VERY GOOD +
This clean & glossy disc has received a number of careful plays but bears no significant visual blemishes or beneath halogen light. Audibly it retains all of its warmth and energy throughout and the only factor preventing a higher grade is some moderate vinyl background on the delicate 'Yesterday'.
Cover: EXCELLENT -
A highly respectable example of this easily soiled cover. the front panel is clean & still a fine shade of white with just a little lower corner bruising. The rear panel is overall very clean showing only a few small age-spots above John's portrait. There is a 2.5cm upper seam stress but otherwise this is 'Excellent' all day.
