Description

An original mono 2nd press of BFS on the UK Parlophone label from  Q1 1965 - just a couple of months after 1st release. Matrix 4N/4N. Please note the labels are consistent with early '65 and still shows 'Parlophone' in the perimeter text. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+/Ex-) In very decent condition and has only seen a moderate level of use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks either side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All I could detect was a touch of light static in one or two spots per side. Overall a very decent rendition of this Beatles classic.
Cover (Vg+) In nice shape and is looking a lot better than many of these surviving BFS covers - they were prone to significant wear due to the way they were manufactured. Nice shiny front with a couple of creases. The vertical crease you can see in the photo is only at the surface [i.e. in the laminate] and no deeper.  The rear looks good too with just a couple of further creases. The interior looks fine with no issues at all. Do expect a bit of edge wear and a bit on the spine too. The spine is ok with text mostly legible. Overall the cover still retains very god rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Light ageing an a couple of side splits which have been taped up.
