Description

A stereo 1st pressing of BFS on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1/1. Stampers 3-MG/4-R. Please note perimeter text reads 'Parlophone' and 'Recording First Published' is also present - this is all indicative of very 1st press. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Stereo gatefold cover...And this copy is truly a corker!
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb shape and has clearly only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. This copy is absolutely top-level...I have certainly not heard a stereo 1st press in this league..it is awesome. Interference is minimal. All we detected was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments [literally]. It really defies belief when copies turn up in this kind of condition.
Cover (Ex-) In great condition and has clearly been cared for down the years. There are a couple of creases on the front and a couple of indentation - nothing obtrusive really though. The interior is in excellent condition with no inscriptions or tears. The rear is in equally fine form with barely a crease. Given the way the BFS sleeve was manufactured finding a stereo 1st issue in this condition is very very difficult indeed. There is some edge wear slightly more noticeable on the spine where most of the text is still visible. Overall the cover retains very good rigidity and is a terrific original example.
