Description
This is a Japanese pressing of The Beatles record Abbey Road (UK series). It was issued as #12 in the series on 06/20/1976 by Toshiba EMI LTD on black vinyl. This series was only released on black vinyl. There is a single LP in a non-gatefold cover with an OBI. There is also a 4-page booklet with photos and the lyrics in English and Japanese that is in mint- condition with no bends or tears.
The record is from my personal collection and was initially cleaned on a VPI record vacuum and treated with Last Record preservative. It was recently demagnetized and re-cleaned with an Audio Desk Ultra-sonic record cleaner. The record was recently play graded using a Lyra Kleos on a VPI Classic IV turntable.
The record is in excellent condition with no scuffs or scratches on side 1 but has a ½” light scratch on Here Comes the Sun on side 2 (does not sound). The record plays very quietly with only 4 light ticks noted on side 1 and 22 noted on side 2 of which 12 occur in blank space before Her Majesty as well as in that song. I don’t see any scratch here.
The jacket is in excellent condition with no seam splits, ring wear or other flaws. The OBI is in excellent condition with a slight bend on the end flap. The insert has is mint- as noted above.
