Description

An original 1st pressing of AHDN on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1/1. Stampers 1-RP/2-MG. Please note the chubby font exhibited on the labels is indicative of very 1st press, along with the inclusion of 'recording 1st published'. And do bear in mind that in summer 1964 stereo was still very much a niche format. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In beautiful condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection all we can make out are a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Wow, THE BEST copy I've auditioned...faultless. Very very nice clean audio from the outset even in those quiet tracks. You can hear all the percussion with much better clarity and precision than you often find. Interference is practically non-existent. I will do my usual catch-all....maybe a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex) In super condition and clearly been carefully looked after down the years. Lovely shiny front without ageing or heavy creasing, just a couple of thumbnail creases toward the opening. The rear has escaped pretty much all of the usual ageing process. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover still retains great rigidity and nice firm corners. A stunner!
Inner (Vg+) No splits. Light ageing.
