Description

An original 1st MONO press of OLDIES on the UK Parlophone label from 1966. Matrix 1G/1G - 1st cut. Note that publishing details are present on the left side of the label - which infers 1st issue. Don't go risking other copies. We source the best on the market and this one is pressed super-heavy [they aren't all as heavy pressed as this example] The vinyl comes housed in an original Mono G&L cover. We also have an original EMI advertising inner sleeve too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen lightest use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of very lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Yesterday and Michelle - are the TEST tracks. Nearly all copies - even the good looking ones... play these with a touch of background. And this example is playing them very clean - which is unusual. Yellow Submarine & Rigby play real sweet too. All I could make out was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex) In super condition with a lovely flat and shiny front [barely a crease]. The rear seems to have pretty much entirely escaped the ageing process - very impressive. Edge wear is very limited indeed and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) A bit of light ageing. But NO splits.
