Description

An original 1st MONO press of OLDIES on the UK Parlophone label from 1966. Matrix 1G/1G - 1st cut. The very earliest copies should mention the publishing credits all over on the left side of the label - as you find here. These early copies were pressed heavy - don't risk a substandard copy [we source the best available on the market]. The vinyl comes housed in an original MONO G&L cover.  Also included is an original EMI advertising inner sleeve. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In beautiful condition and has only seen lightest use. Take a look at those label shots! Real nice mirror like surfaces. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of very light marks per side absolutely nothing remotely troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are super quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. An absolute top level performer - in all respects. Yesterday and Michelle - are the TEST tracks. nearly all copies - even the good looking ones... play these with a touch of background. But NOT HERE! Clean as a whistle throughout. This is about as good as it's humanly possible to source. It's hard to even replicate this level. Same story with Submarine - and absolute corker [from start to finish. FINAL UPGRADE par excellence.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) A perfectly clean and flat front. I can't make out any creasing or ageing at all. The rear seems to have escaped pretty much all of the ageing process - hardly any observable. Edge wear is pretty much non-existent and the openings are nice and firm. The spine is 100% perfect. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very very fine specimen.
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing. A one inch side split. Otherwise - great.
