  • Up for sale is this overall near mint- conditioned complete original "Let It Be" box set issued in The United Kingdom in may of 1970. This is one of the 'Holy Grails' of collecting The Beatles. I have owned 10 of these in the past 40 years of collecting The Beatles but never is this condition. This complete box set includes the original 1st press heavy vinyl with 2U matrix numbers on both sides, a fully laminated original cover with Red Apple logo on the back, a fully laminated original outer cover, both original inner trays, the original 'Get Back' book, & the original enclosed poster + original inner sleeve. The record with deep grooves plays in top audio throughout on my Thornes turntable with no background noise through the songs, only some light clicks between songs. You never heard 'Let It Be' in all its glory till you hear this pressing. This first pressing plays with perfect pitch from start to finish. The matrix # are YEX 773-2U on side 1 & YEX 774-2U on side 2. The mother stampers are 5 G G O on side 1 & T P on side 2. The record labels are in near mint condition with no spindle hole wear. There is a 'P' next to the 1970 on side 1 label. Under an intense spotlight there are some barely visible inner sleeve removal marks on Side 1 & a couple of ultra light hairlines on Side 2. The laminated record cover is in near mint- condition with a great conditioned opening edge & few tiny laminate creases. The outer box is in very good+ condition with no tears, writing & a bit of wear on the corners & some faint creasing wear. Both original inner trays are in excellent condition with no tears & some light creasing wear to the corners. The original 'Get Back' book is in near mint condition with no tears, writing & no creasing wear and no loose pages & a strong binding. This is by far the best conditioned book i have ever seen. Lastly is the original ' Made in England' inner sleeve is in excellent condition with no tears or writing & slight light creases & a bit of age yellowing. The patent # is 1255.55. The only way to upgrade this box set would be to find a factory sealed box set from 1970 of 'Let It Be'. This box set will be professionally double boxed for shipment. Thanks Frank
