Description

Up for auction is a 78 record made in 1928 by Emmett Miller.His back up band on this recording is The Georgia Crackers which the members were Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey along with Dan Fitch and also had Eddie Lang Also known as Blind Willie Dunn.This is on Okeh Electric label # 41062.The songs are titled Lovesick Blues on one side and has I Ain't Got Nobody on the other side.The Lovesick Blues song on this record was later recorded by Hank Williams and Hank was very much influenced by Emmetts version as one can tell easily by listening to this 78.The Lovesick Blues side has extremely light to light scratches with 2 scratches I can feel extremely lightly with fingernail.The I Ain't Got Nobody side has extremely light to light scratches with a tiny scratch I can feel very lightly with fingernail.Has a small spot of tiny groove pitting marks.The grooves also have wear mostly on The Lovesick Blues side.The 78 really plays nicely and alot better than I thought.Really a Beautiful looking 78 and both labels are in great condition as you can see.This is one of several Emmett Miller and his Georgia Crackers 78s I'll be listing from my collection over the next few days.I'll also be listing a scarce Emmett Miller Odeon ONY label 78.Please check if interested.I also combine multiple auctions to save on shipping.Buyer to pay $4.00 Media rate shipping anywhere in the U.S.Please add $1.00 if insurance is desired.
