Description

An original 1st press of ANIMALS on the UK Columbia label from 1964. Matrix 1N/1N - very 1st cut. Note how the logo mentions 'recording 1st published 1964 ' - as per 1st press. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover with flipbacks. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+) In very nice shape despite light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. A solid performer with not all that much to complain at . You might detect a bit of background static in a couple of tracks per side. Nothing invasive - they just won't play quite as good as the rest of the LP. 
Cover (Vg+) Surprisingly difficult to find with a decent cover. This example fairs well with a really nice flat and shiny front. A crease bottom right and top left - but little else worthy of note. The rear looks much better than you tend to find. It seems to have escaped the worst of the usual fading you tend to find. Yes, there's a couple of age spots in a couple of places, but nothing overtly obvious. Edge wear is pretty light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Bit aged and some side splits which have been taped up.
