This is the original UK LP by The Animals, 1964 Self-Tilted Debut LP, MONO 1st Press on blue and black COLUMBIA label 33SX 1669, with " COLUMBIA GRAMOPHONE CO.LTD" rim credits on the label's, "SOLD IN THE UK" and "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1964" label credits
This is very nice example in terms of its sheer 1st class sound! , the quality of the is original 1964 UK Mono 1st Press is simply SUPERB!. Every track plays EX+++ JUST ASTONISHING , THE CLARITY AND FRESH BRIGHT CLEAN MONO SOUND IS A SHEER DELIGHT TO LISTEN TOO, A REAL PRIVILAGE., EVERY TRACK DELIVERS PERFECT SOUND QUALITY!!!
Matrix numbers are, Side 1:- XAX 2717-1N, Side 2:-XAX 2718-1N
Stamper codes are, Side 1:- 3 / T, Side 2:- 2 / GG
The original 1964 UK Mono 1st issue Garrod and Lofthouse cover is in EX condition, lovely and clean and fresh, mantaining all its original bright vibrant colour. On the front the cover is laminated in beautiful thick glossy laminate, only a few small areas of light lamination creasing, the back is lovely and white, clean and fresh, nice solid flipbacks as well. The spine is broad, clean and perfectly readable, no unwanted writing, no seam splits, A VERY NICE COVER
The vinyl is in visually in VG+ condition, but don't let that put you off, the vinyl is not worn, NOT over played, not trashed, has NO groove wear, no hiss, no sound distortion, no heavy scratches or marks, that effect the play and sound of the vinyl. I have played both sides, (very carefully), and im delighted to say that from start to finish the vinyl plays EX+++, playing with super crisp clear clarity!, the quality of the MONO on this pressing, is OUTSTANDING!!!!, playing with such depth and warmth!, STUNNING!, CRYSTAL CLEAR AUDIO, ABSOLUTELY STUNNING, OUTSTANDING!, EVERY NOTE, VOCAL, BACKING AND PERCUSSION CAN BE HEARD WITH CRYSTAL CLEAR CLEAN CLARITY!!!. A WONDERFUL LISTENING EXPERIENCE, TOP TOP QUALITY MONO PRESS!.
I own, seen and played many original 1960's UK pop, beat LP's that are visually in EX+ or better that dont play as well as this very nice example. Sure visual condition, usually dictates the play quality of vinyl records, but not always, this is a prime example.
The blue and black COLUMBIA label's are in EX+ condition, clean, super fresh, maintaining all their original vibrant colour. The centre spindle hole shows only light wear, no scuffs to the label's. KT tax code is embossed on Side 2's label.
The vinyl is housed in it's original UK 1964 "Use Emitex " die-cut inner sleeve, clean and fresh, minimal wear, with only some light creasing, their is no unwanted writing and no seam splits.
