Description

A beautiful 1st issue of ABB LAFE on USA Capricorn. Etchings [AT/GP] X 2..[AT/DK] X 2. Note that both labels mention the Atlantic address - '1841 Broadway' as all 1st issues should do. The vinyl comes housed in an original heavy-card pasted cover. The cover mentions Capricorn in the top left corner - and still mentions the '1841 Broadway' address down in the bottom right. And thanks to the weight and print quality, and a beautiful interior, you REALLY get to appreciate this cover as a piece of artwork in its own right. Also included are both the original Atlantic inner sleeves. So,100% genuine and 100% complete. Will ship in poly-lined inners for maximum protection.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light careful use. Under lose inspection there are a few light marks per side, a couple of very superficial and small trails - but nothing heavy or sinister looking. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXELLENT level of playback with just a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. These early Capricorn pink label copies really are the BEST way to take in this classic live album. The audio quality is absolutely superb. Interference is both minimal and fleeting. Expect nothing more than just a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side [e.g intro into Stormy Monday & quiet mid-section to YDLMA & intro to IMOER]. Overall, most definitely a players copy...sit back ...crank it..and take in this awesome performance. One of the best renditions I've witnessed from either side of the Atlantic. It it is just sweeeet>>>>>
Cover (Ex-) In lovely condition and really isn't easy finding these original USA covers looking this pristine. By this point in time they are usually exhibiting a fair bit of surface wear. This copy bucks the trend and has clearly been looked after carefully. Front and rear are remarkably free from ageing or wear - only the very slightest superficial stuff noticeable at all. The heavy-card means it retains all its original rigidity - and there's barely a single sign of a crease. The interior is nothing short of beautiful - what a finish! There's just a bit of edge wear in places - as is common. It's only really vaguely noticeable at the bottom opening edges where it's just starting to wear through. The openings are firm and unworn [unusual]. The spine looks great with only lightest wear. Text is still legible. Overall the cover looks very nice - and difficult to replicate in anything close to this level of preservation.
Inners (Vg & Vg+) In decent condition. Light ageing. One inner ha NO splits. The other a one inch split per side.
