Don't confuse this I Robot (UHQR 1259)  with previous I Robot UHQR listing I sold on eBay a few weeks back (that was pressing #889. The buyer left positive feedback on my Feedback page) 
MFSL claims: "MFSL UHQR were the most technologically advanced records of its time.  Among it's many features is a far advanced frequency and improved channel separation.  UHQR albums take longer to press and are heavier than traditional albums.  They were always boxed in box sets with special sleeves and packaging. " In other words, if MFSL was like General Motors or Ford, UHQR would be their Cadillac or Lincoln high-end divisions.
NOT JUST FOR CASUAL LISTENING OR COLLECTING ... THIS DISC IS AN INVALUABLE TOOL FOR EVALUATING THE QUALITY OF Hi-Fi SYSTEMS: This is THE ultimate "demo disc". Absolute REFERENCE-GRADE sound. Other than professional reel-to-reel analog tape, I have not heard better sound from any other source format. And Alan Parsons recordings are renowned and world-class in any format. If you are a hi-fi dealer, there is no better disc to show off your turntables, amps, preamps, etc. 
If you've followed my auctions, you may have noted that, over the past few years, I have sold several different I Robot releases (including the high-rated 2005 24/192 DVD-A version from Classic Records), and the 1987 MFSL MFCD. None of those even come close to this UHQR. It's more than just an order-of-magnitude difference: the UHQR series sounds significantly DIFFERENT from any other release (including MFSL's "standard" versions). Once you've heard UHQR, you'll never go back!
NOTE #1: "I Wouldn't Want to be Like You"  has a light scratch which runs roughly as shown in the enhanced image -- see Photos provided.. This is a favorite track for many and is the primary reason I downgraded the Record Grading to Ex++ cond. 
The audibility of scratches and surface noise can be highly stylus/cartridge-dependent. I use... cartridges:  Ortofon OM-30, Shure V15-Type 5 MR, and Simiko Blue Point Special; with turntables: VPI HW-19 and Dual CS-5000. If you use vinyl extracting software, like Pure Vinyl, you can easily "eliminate" most of these flaws. All that said ... I am not an experienced vinyl grader/appraiser and this item is NON-RETURNABLE.
NOTE #2: I have several UHQR titles, and although they are the best-sounding LPs I've ever hear, the tricky setup of their limited-run cutting sessions means you often didn't know about above-noted imperfections until you actually opened the seal and played the damn thing!
BETTER THAN NEW/SEALED? HOW? In light of the "NOTE 2" comment above and the fact that the LP was cleaned and (then) treated/preserved with LAST FACTORY record treatment. (see photo)
NOTE #3: (Buyers often ask if I made a mistake re-listing the same item -- so this note serves to confirm the difference.) I'm a fan of  audio technology, and (decades back) acquired a small collection of titles and even several copies of same title. (As shown in photo, side-by-side comparison, I have another similar I Robot UHQRs box set in my collection ... with its own, unique pressing number, of course.) I'm may sell those soon, as well.

A recording from the Victor Company of Japan for state of the art audiophile pressings. This MFSL LP was pressed in Japan before Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs eventually pressed their LPs in the United States. The LP was Half-Speed Mastered with the Ortofon Cutting System from the Original Stereo Master Tapes. This MFSL LP has a special static free, dust free inner sleeve and heavy-duty protective packaging.  The man behind the recording of Dark Side of the Moon is none other than Alan Parsons. If you want to hear what is his definitive recording with a little bit of 'Dark Side' thrown in then this is it. 
I Robot was produced and engineered by Alan at Abbey Road Studios and is an audiophiles dream recording.
