Description
I really don't want to oversell this, but it is a great copy, can be beaten, but only for a lot more money I suggest !
First press A2U / B2U, second variant with "FLY 6 A-2U PORKY" and "FLY 6 B-2U PECKO-DUCK" in run-out. Visually the vinyl is in lovely condition, just 2 light marks to Planet Queen, as shown in photo number 5.
The portrait inners are in great shape, no seam splits, no pen marks, just a couple of pencil inscriptions ( never bothered rubbing them off - which you could do of course ) "V15" top left and "£6" top right to Marcs side, "V14" top right to Mickeys side.
The sleeve itself is also in great shape, spine is strong and legible. Light ring wear only to the front, The rear has a 1 inch scratch to the bottom, and a 1/4 inch mark above the track listing, both shown in the photos. The "Poster" hype sticker is also in great condition - no attempt has ever been made to remove it, which is nice. NO POSTER I'm afraid.
Both labels are lovely and clean, no pen marks etc, just spindle trails very close to the hole.
Play-tested:
Side 1 plays EX+, virtually perfect throughout, even between tracks it's almost dead silent. I had intended to grade each track individually, but in the event, the whole of side 1 was so consistently excellent, there really was no point. All tracks play without any clicks or pops etc. I am reluctant to say it for fear of someone hearing the slightest thing I didn't, so will officially grade this side as EX+ ( all day long ).
Side 2 is exactly the same as the first side, EXCEPT: the marks mentioned above to "Planet Queen", do, just about, sound as four ( ? ) VERY faint tics, I actually had to play the track 3 times to make sure, as I was convinced they would sound, but couldn't hear them 1st time round. There are a couple of VERY light tics between "Planet Queen" and "Girl". "Girl" might have a light tic, can't be sure, played it 4 times, still not sure ! So I'll say there is a very light tic on "Girl".
A great overall copy, NOT mint ! But really very lovely :-)
