Title: "Almost But Not Quite There" c/w "Wait Just A Minute" 7" (Ultra Rare Original 1st Press 1967 UK Piccadilly Records 7"Single)
Format: 7"vinyl single - Ultra Rare Original 1st pressing 1967 UK Piccadilly Records Traffic Jam 7"single "Almost But Not Quite There" c/w "Wait Just A Minute" - UK Piccadilly Records 7N.35386 .
On offer here, from my own 60's collection,is one of the rarest and hardest to find beat / freakbeat singles...a GREAT record for the serious STATUS QUO completist or for any UK 60's mod / freakbeat collector. This is the awesome double 'A' sided 1967 TRAFFIC JAM 45 'Almost But Not Quite There' c/w 'Wait Just A Minute".
THIS WAS THE ONLY SINGLE RELEASED BY THE TRAFFIC JAM WHO WERE THE SPECTRES AND THEN STATUS QUO!!!
On offer here,is the MONSTER RARE and in extremely high demand 7"single (especially in this superb condition!!!!) entitled "Almost But Not Quite There" by The Traffic Jam a band that, of course, featured Francis Rossi, Roy Lynnes, John Coghlan and Alan Lancaster who later evolved into Status Quo! The flip side is "Wait Just A Minute". "Almost But Not Quite There" is a Francis Rossi composition, with the song credited to Rossi and their then manager Pat Barlow. The B-side "Wait Just A Minute" is composed by keyboard player Roy Lynnes. The single was apparently banned at the time of release for being "too suggestive"and didn't make it past the censors!! Due to this radio ban 'stock' released copies (such as this one)are far rarer than the promo copies which occasionally get offered on eBay! THIS IS AN INCREDIBLY RARE SINGLE INDEED AND IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND, LET ALONE IN THIS MAGNIFICENT CONDITION!!!! DON'T MISS OUT!!!! This is an ORIGINAL 1967 UK 1st Pressing on the Piccadilly label 7N.35386. Any fan of The Traffic Jam, Status Quo, Psych Beat or 60s music in general will want to have this in their collection!!!!
This record is 100% guaranteed as being completely GENUINE, ORIGINAL and AUTHENTIC
The single is in stunning, virtually MINT condition, only played a handful of times from new! Both sides play superbly ~ Absolutely brilliant record!
A truly great rarity which would be a major addition to any Status Quo or 60's freakbeat / popsike collection.
