HOW RARE DO YOU LIKE YOUR QUO?

By 1967, The Spectres haddiscovered psychedelia and named themselvesTraffic, but were soon forced to change it to "Traffic Jam" to avoidconfusion with Steve Winwood's Traffic,following an argument over who had registered the name first. The bandsecured an appearance on BBC Radio's Saturday Club, butin June their next single, "Almost But Not Quite There",underperformed mainly as a result of the BBC banningthe song from radio due to the lyrical content being about a woman's sexualfulfilment. The following month saw Rick Parfitt, at the request of manager PatBarlow, joining the band as rhythm guitarist and vocalist. Shortly afterParfitt's recruitment, in August 1967, the band officially became Status Quo.

THE ACETATE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITIONAS YOU WOULD EXPECT FOR AN ACETATE THATIS VIRTUALLY 50 YEARS OLD.   

THE ACETATE HAS BEEN IN MY POSSESSIONFOR A NUMBER OF YEARS AND I HAVE ONLY PLAYED THE FIRST FEW SECONDS TO PROVETHAT IT IS GENUINE.  

A FANTASTIC EXAMPLE OF THIS INSANELYRARE ITEM.

MINT:The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks ordeterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyricsheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

NEARMINT: The record itself appears new but is known to have been played becausethe label has light spindle marks or because it has come from a previous ownerand is assumed to have been played by them.

EXCELLENT:The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very littlelessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/ or creasing.

VERYGOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no majordeterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and theoccasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items,without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD:The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeablydeteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contentssuffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR:The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly anddisplays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contentswill be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR:The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. Thecover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD:The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as acollection filler.
