We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Beautiful minty ...Original 1967 =MONO= first pressing of a great and sometimes still unknown psych Lp by British hipster David Hemmings...star of the iconic 1960's movies "Blow Up" and "Barbarella"...backed by the psychedelic laced BYRDS...

The MONO release offers different song mixes from the stereo issue and contains a suitable bold punchy production.... 

“Happens!” was actually produced in Los Angeles by none other than Byrds manager and producer Jim Dickson, AND features The Byrds as well as a session crew. The fact that it was done somewhat in a rush due to David's film commitments actually worked in it's favour as the Columbia-rejected and otherwise unheard Gene Clark song "Back Street Mirror" opens the album with a full-on gorgeous folkrock rush.

Largely improvised collaborations with The Byrds and a crack crew backing band, allowing David to express his love of folk music against a background of prime Byrds at their Raga Rock peak! So we are on course for an album of rare beauty. This is indeed an unknown and hidden gem indeed!

The tracks are actually really good. We say "actually" because you might expect this to be something of a gimmicky album given that Hemmings was an actor and this was a bit of a cash in on his new found fame. However, a look at the credits might reveal this to be more substantial than you might first expect as Roger McGuinn and Chris Hillman of the Byrds are guest artists while the track Back Street Mirror is an unreleased Gene Clark song produced by Leon Russell. As well, Good King James, War's Mystery and Talkin' LA. are raga-rock with McGuinn's guitar high in the mix. War's Mystery in particular is very good, while Good King James was intended to be sung in a "raga rock" style, Hemming's vocals do the job ...Talkin' LA is an improvised jazz-rock track with Hemmings improvising the lyrics on the spot. Then another gem, Anathea (one of the best on the album) is yet another raga-rock groove with trippy webs of sitar ...

Recommended to anyone who's into the '66 era Byrds (which includes the inclusion of Back Street Mirror -- Hemmings' vocals sound a lot like Gene Clark's).
Also recommended to anyone into typical 1967-psych. All in all excellent and is certainly better than what you might expect from this young hipster.
