I NEVER grade a record MINT unless it's in a STILL SEALED cover OR if the record comes from my own collection and I KNOW it's never been played.

Details : The very delicate TEXTURED cover would have been M - if not for a tiny little dent in the upper right corner at the opening side and at the lower left seam. I doubt you'll ever find a better copy of the little gem.

Details : Show NO spindle marks or any other signs of wear.

Comments : Little is known about this long forgotten US singer/songwriter who only recorded this gem and then sank into ablivion again.

Here's what I found on the net: One of those fortgotten major label releases. Probably forgotten because copies of this hardly ever turn up. It's so rare that it isn't even mentioned in well-known price catalogues. I only once saw another copy that went on a Japanese auction site. Impressive Soft Rock, ballad-like with Country & Folk influences and with a touch of Psych now and then. The album grows everytime you play it.

The text on the back of the cover mentions a couple of sidemen/women. One of them is the recently diseased Kathi McDonald. Born in Washington State in 1948, McDonald performed professionally for the first time around Seattle when she was 12 years old.

There are currently only TWO other copies offered on ebay.de (Germany) Worldwide right now and both are German pressings. One dealer is asking Euro 229.00 / US$ 300.00 for his copy and the other one is on auction with a starting bid of Euro 78.00 / US$ 100.00

I have sold another (German) copy a couple of month ago BUT this one here tops it by far.

THIS ONE here is an ULTRA RARE UK FIRST and ONLY pressing with the ORIGINAL TEXTURED cover and it comes with the ORIGINAL poly-lined Polydor inner-sleeve.

The album comes from my own archives, is STILL UNPLAYED and the record shows NO signs of use. The cover is in a fantastic condition as well. I doubt you'll ever find a better copy of this gem.

 I just found this ad from UK's Musical Maker dating back to the release of this album:

At the age of 19 she moved to San Francisco and joined Ike and Tina Turner as an Ikette. She then did some work with Big Brother & the Holding Company. In 1972 she recorded "Insane Asylum" for Capitol Records. The album was co-produced by David Briggs (of Neil Young fame) and Pete Sears of Silver Metre and Pilot. She reunited with Big Brother & the Holding Company in California for a concert on New Year's Eve, 1997. She also performed with The Rolling Stones, Long John Baldry, Joe Cocker and many more.
