Cover: Garrod & Lofthouse 1968 1st UK pressed cover. Laminated front and unlaminated rear with triple flip-backs. There is some light rippling to the front cover, a name on the rear and some storage/handling marks. Rates as VG+. See photos.
Records: Played tested all the way through. An absolute delight to listen to in mono as the sound seems much more integrated than in stereo. The vinyl retains a nice sheen. While there are many lightish marks, these have little impact on playback. No skips or jumps on my system and only occasional crackle or clicks. What crackle there is seems to be mainly lmited to the intro and outro to each side and between tracks. These first pressing heavy duty UK vinyl pressings were made to last and this one sounds great. Overall the record looks VG and plays VG+ to Excellent depending on the track. Amazing really for a record that is now 52 years old!
Inner Sleeve: Original EMI ads inner sleve is in Excellent condition - see photos.
Labels: Excellent+. Although the album was released in February 1968, the labels show that they were actually pressed in 1967. These are the earliest 1st UK MONO pressing labels with the 'Sold in the UK....' text on both sides - scans.
