On offer here is the rare 1971 UK pressing of the debut vinyl LP from Third World War, in excellent (near mint) condition, complete with lyric insert.
Terry Stamp and Jim Avery hold the distinction of forming Third World War - probably the UK's first, for real, “punk" or "aggro” band. Formed in London at the turn of the 70s, Third World War released two proto-punk albums in the very early '70s. Third World War featured an aggression unheard of at that time. Terry Stamp’s explosive vocals, lyrics, chopper guitar style and Jim Avery’s West London, hardnut, two fisted, riff and chord approach proved unbeatable, (even thirty years on). Their socio-political agenda and proto-punk guitar style prefigured the emergence of UK “working-class” punk bands by some five years.
The LP is on the FLY record label, catalogue number FLY 4V2360.
The vinyl has hardly been used, looks like new and plays perfectly. Condition: 'Excellent+' (near mint).
The outer sleeve is laminated with a high gloss finish and there are only minimal signs of any marking or wear. Condition: 'Excellent'.
The thick paper insert with printed lyrics is in immaculate shape without a single crease or mark. Condition: 'Excellent ++' (mint).
