Description
OK, if you're erading this then you know what you are talking about. This is the first release for The Who, when they were called the High Numbers. It is "Zoot Suit/I'm the Face" Fontana TF 480. "Zoot Suit" is listed as the A-side. This is the original blue and silver label with the 3 prong center piece still intact. The matrix is machine numerals and is "267364 1E (upside triangle) // 420". It also comes in the original Fontana sleeve. Yup, it's the real mccoy, not a bootleg, not one of the numerous reprints either.
Tha label is in nice shape, no writing, some wear from age and storage but it is still a solid VG++. Grading under a strong light, the a-side has a bunch of scratches that look like it was caused from being dropped on the floor and picked up in a sideways motion. And there is lighter marks from play/age/being taken in an out of a paper sleeve for years. Overall, side 1 is only in Good or G condition, rough but not totally wrecked. Side B is a little better but not much, doesn't have the deeper marks like the a-side but there is plenty of play wear. Overall I'd call it Good +, G+, some may call it VG-.
So this is not a top condition copy, but then again, it is the sort of record that you just don't see for sale often, but all good Who fans have the music. This has been in my collection for sometime now. I bought it because I didn't want to lay out over $1000 for a VG+ copy. I just wanted to get this legendary record for my collection. Now it is time to pass it onto another happy collector.
Shipping in the US is $5 for Prioirty Mail. If you want insurance, add $3. For Canada and Mexico, shipping is $7. Everywhere else shipping is $10. We will pack this well. Insurance is also $3 for other countries. We take PayPal as payment. Payment is expected within 3 days of end of auction.
