This is the SUPER RARE & LEGENDARY very first ever pressing of the very first ever single of The White Stripes.
You will not find a shinier translucent red record than this. ITALY Records #003
Before reading any further understand that you will most likely not find one of these in THIS condition.
It KILLS me to call this "Near Mint". I want to say MINT but won't because I must be technical and don't want to mislead anyone.
Know that These sleeves are delicate and many out there have been severely creased by now. I've seen many but hardly any in this condition.
I sold one last week that's surely in the class of this one condition wise. But this one is superior.
Again, once items are in this level of condition you gotta really look for the slightest imperfections.
They hardly exist on this copy. I'm pretty sure this is my last duplicate. Had to dig them out finally.
The vinyl is pretty much Mint but I call all Mint records Near Mint.
Unlike the re-pressings, this original sleeve was a much thinner paper stock.
Most naturally have minor wear on the top part where the record slips in. It's normal for this record.
But this one hardly has that wear you usually see on this particular record. It's very close to MINT.
This record is nearly 15 years old. It was released in 1998 and recorded at Jack White's house in Detroit.
This copy is CLEAN & SHINY. I included extra-close-up photos so you can really get in there and see what we're dealing with.
There's tons of Jack White collectibles out there, but few from a time where they were not meant to be collectibles.
This is not a manufactured collectible. This is the REAL DEAL.
I've listed many great White Stripes/Jack White items at ridiculously low opening bid prices.
But this item must be respected for it's condition. This is a true rarity to find in this shape.
It comes complete with the original George Washington quote insert which does not come in any of the other repressings.
Baseball card collectors would call this THE ROOKIE CARD. This is where it all started!
This listing should be a sign of relief to bidding fans since I'm not listing it with an overinflated
buy-it-now price like most of the rare Jack White-related items have been listed as of late.
The last one I saw on ebay had an asking price of $600.
