Very rare, classic Aussie punk 45 rpm record
"Television Addict / Flipped Out Over You" by
The VICTIMS.
Features Dave Flick, aka Dave Faulkner, on vocals(The Hoodoo Gurus) , and James Baker (The Scientists, Beasts of Bourbon, Hoodoo Gurus) on drums.
In true punk style all covers were hand made by the band, stamping the covers using rubber letters and 3 different colour stamp pads. So every cover is different. ONLY 1000 copies were issued.
Must have for any collector of punk or rare Australian rock band recordings.

Lyrically, "Television Addict" revolves around a youth "who went out and shot someone", and whose lawyer then attributes his actions to violence on television: "blame the ratings for his crime." The song is, in large part, a satirical comment on the tendency to blame popular culture for crime, rather than individuals, or broader social problems. The song ends by questioning why other social phenomena are not attributed to TV programs: "just because I watch Dinah Shore, doesn't mean my brain has slipped, doesn't mean anything — at all."

The condition of the vinyl is VG+: has slight surface scratches, some longer than others. The cover is in a more used condition: has crinkles or small creases, small tears along the top, slight ring wear markings, inch tear on the bottom of cover from the record.
