You are bidding on the rare first pressing of The Velvet Underground's influential debut, "The Velvet Underground & Nico," which was produced by Andy Warhol and featured notable musicians Lou Reed, John Cale and model Nico, who also had a solo career of her own later on. This record in particular features the banana intact with the record and also has the original "torso" photo on the back that was later "airbrushed" or pasted over by a sticker on later pressings. This copy is also the Mono version. Verve Records V-5008

The record is in Excellent condition. The jacket is in Good condition with noticeable ring wear and surface wear on both the front and back covers, with less wear inside the gatefold. The Banana is intact, but it is cut apart at the "stem."
