SURFARIS - WIPE OUT b/w SURFER JOE - PRINCESS 45 - RE1 - SHORT VERSION - FAIR CONDITON...
The record has been played and it does have quite a few scuffs and bad warp... Both sides play thru with surface noise but despite the warp, NO SKIPS... We'd grade the overall condition of the record as "Fair to Good" with label ring wear on both sides and light tear on "wipe out" label...
We generally don't list 45's in this condition but this one doesn't turn up that often... When it does, it usually goes for considerably more than our minimum bid...
Initially issued on the DFS label, Jan 1963 (DFS 11) by the band's manager/producer Smallin. Licenced to Marascalco's Princess label as a full-length issue, and subsequently released in edited form by Princess and Dot labels.
This version of the Princess issue plays the shorter version of "Surfer Joe" and shows the time as 2:20 on label, not 3:40 as on the DFS issue.
