COVER CONDiTiON: NEAR MiNT MiNUS to VG++  - *PROMO STAMP on back cover and aprox. 1" split on top seam. some corner wear. Original 'laminated' cover and thick cardboard.

* This wonderful, moody, ballads-and-standards album (Marvin Gaye's very first album, from 1960!!!), a collection of classic torch songs as sung by the ultimate torch crooner, has been unavailable in any format for many years (Marvin’s picture on the cover is itself worth the price of the admission; he is still an adolescent here; you can almost see pimples on his face). You have not lived until you’ve heard Marvin Gaye croon his way through such standards as "My Funny Valentine" or "How high the moon" (The instrumental backing and the production leave something to be desired, but who cares? It's the voice that counts!!!) You will not be able to find these beautiful songs and these great versions anywhere else… A great, ultra-rare Motown album which we may not see again for many years (or at least until Berry Gordy sells/leases Motown again).
