Here is a chance to own an ORIGINAL 45 on it's UK LONDON LABEL 1958 TRIANGLE centre pressing.
Over the years I have helped to add to the collections of many London label completists and given my 22 years experience of running one of the best known record collectors shops in the UK and now around the world, I am aware of the titles that are GENUINE RARE ITEMS.
Now of course for those who are"chained"to the record collector price guide books,for whom I am one of the main consultants, the prices are still a SUGGESTION and as we all know ACTUAL prices SOLD can vary.
The sellers in shops and on ebay who continually put"listed"or "list price"on everything should be aware of this!!!!
However based on how infrequently these London Label singles of 50 years ago are turning up it is quite possible there MIGHT be keen bidding on this title so be prepared at the last minute to increase your bid!!!
THIS COPY HAS BEEN PLAYED A NUMBER OF TIMES WITH SOME MARKS AND SURFACE NOISE BUT PLAYS GREAT AND IS IN CLOSE TO VERY GOOD CONDITION.
THERE ARE NO NASTY LOUD CLICKS BUT PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE NEXT PART OF THE DESCRIPTION>>
DUE TO EITHER THE USE OF A WORN STYLI/HEAVY PICKUP OR EVEN 78 STYLI , THE OPENING INSTRUMENTAL 20 SECOND INTRODUCTION HAS "GROOVE HISS" WHICH SOUNDS FOR ABOUT HALF OF THAT INTRO TIME IN TWO SHORT 5-7 SECOND BURSTS AND ENDS JUST BEFORE THE VOCALS BEGIN AFTERWHICH THERE IS SOME DISTORTION BUT MAINLY AT PEAKS AND THERE ARE NO JUMPS OR SKIPS AT ALL ON EITHER SIDE.
THIS MAY NOT BE SO NOTICABLE ON AN OLDER DECK OR A JUKEBOX.
THE UPTEMPO "B"SIDE HAS NO SUCH FAULT AND SOUNDS GREAT.
IT WOULD SOUND FANTASTIC ON A JUKE BOX AND OF COURSE MINT OR NEAR MINT COPIES ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND.
WHEN EXCELLENT COPIES TURN UP THEY CAN FETCH AROUND £200 OR MORE!
THIS WOULD BE AN IDEAL GAP FILLER UNTIL A BETTER ONE COMES ALONG WHICH MIGHT BE A WHILE!
THIS AIN'T IN BRILLIANT CONDITION BUT IT IS BETTER THAN MOST COPIES THAT SURVIVED AND NOT TRASHED!
LOOK AT THE FEEDBACK TO SEE MY STRICTNESS OF GRADING 45s!!!
THERE IS A LITTLE SPINDLE WEAR BUT NO DEFACEMENT.
