THE SKIDS - RARE FULLY SIGNED - WIDE OPEN 12" EP - RED VINYL - 1978 VS23212.
This is an auction for a Red Vinyl copy of the 12" "Wide Open" EP by The Skids which was originally released on Virgin Records in 1978.
This is a copy of the original 1978 12" coloured vinyl release, catalogue no. VS23212.
This rare copy has been signed by all 4 members of the Skids - Richard Jobson, Stuart Adamson, Bill Simpson and Thomas Kellichan. I cannot vouch for the provenance of the autographs as I was not the original owner of this EP but I do have other items that have been signed for me by Stuart Adamson and his signature does exactly match the one on here.
The record sleeve itself is in a rather tatty condition, it is creased, there are marks all over it, it has been repaired by cellotape at one point and there are tears on the edges (see pictures for details of the front & back covers). A previous owner has also written their own name on the sleeve (no idea why people did that !)
The record itself has been in a box for about 7 years and on inspection the vinyl looks to be pretty good for a 43 year old record, it doesn't look to be scratched and the labels are in reasonable condition for a record of that age. There are some small marks on the labels and it looks like it had a sticker attached at one point in time which has left a mark (see pictures). IThe records is sold as seen as I do not currently have a turntable, so can't couch for how well it plays. It has not been played for a very long time but was fine when it was last played.

All my vinyl is dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class and sent within 48 hours of payment. All Vinyl is sent in Cardboard rigid album mailers with an additional stiffener plus a strong waterproof bag (see final picture)
Postage is done at cost and is made up of £3.00 Royal Mail 2nd Class small parcel charge plus £1 worth of packaging materials (Good Quality Mailer, Stiffener & Bag).
