'SPUNK'
Original Bootleg Vinyl LP in hand painted 'No Future' sleeve - RARE!
1st Issue with 'LYN' etched in run out groove. It has the original 12 song track-listing, (NOT with the extra tracks that came on later pressings). Track 1 on side 2 is "God Save The Queen", but titled as "No Future".
'LYN' meant it was a Lyntone pressing, and it has been suggested that Malcolm McLaren has some involvement with this issue; see the information below.
Here is some info from the internet about the LP:
"The evidence for McLaren's involvement is speculative, although it can be noted that his company, Glitterbest, retained the rights to the demo recordings as well as the master tapes – and the demos appearing on Spunk were presented in excellent quality. Also, as evidenced by the original album's "LYN-" matrix number prefix, the record had clearly been pressed in the UK by Lyntone, a legitimate independent pressing plant that would presumably not handle anything that appeared to be a bootleg, and would certainly allow the bootlegger in question to be traced if enquiries had ever been made by the genuine copyright owner. McLaren always publicly denied responsibility for Spunk, but said that he preferred it to Never Mind the Bollocks.[2]
Some Sex Pistols fans concur with McLaren[2] – and producer Goodman[3] – that the raw versions of the songs on Spunk are superior to the officially released ones, particularly since Spunk approximates a faithful reproduction of the original Sex Pistols line-up's live sound. The album also features the bass-lines of Glen Matlock, which were not reproduced when guitarist Steve Jones took over bass duties for the recording of Never Mind the Bollocks.[4]
Spunk is therefore often cited as the Sex Pistols' de facto alternative debut album. Certainly a tape of part or all of Spunk had been played to Tony Parsons as early as March 1977, and became the subject of his NME article, "Blank Nuggets in the UK", which described the recordings as if they represented an imminent debut album release.[2]"

Records are packaged safely using strong stiff cardboard and extra bubble wrap to ensure they arrive in the same condition as in my description. I also remove record from outer sleeve and original inner sleeves, to prevent seam splits. I am a record collector myself and understand the importance of safe packaging to ensure safe delivery.

Postage prices within the UK will be £4.00 when the weight is less than 1kg (usually three vinyl albums) Over 1kg and up to 2kg the postage goes up to £6.00 (Usually six vinyl albums) which is a very good postage deal and should encourage vinyl collectors to check my other items to potentially save a lot of money using combined postage for multiple items.
Please be aware however, I need a steady cash flow to keep my ebay site stocked with goodies, so if there is a big time gap between records that you wish to buy from me, I would appreciate you pay for the first purchase(s) and let me know if you are planning on bidding on more, at a later date. Then I can invoice you with the reduced/combined postage costs, once you have finished bidding.
