The Rolling Stones : Some Girls A3/B3 1st Press w/uncensored cover

I purchased a collection recently among which were a stunning set Stones' records.  I have listed a number of them already and have graded each track individually.  However, such is their quality there is no real need to do this but rest assured I will still listen to every track in full so as to provide a 'correct' grading and will state any imperfections even if minor.

This is the finest example of a first pressing that I have seen.  It plays with remarkable quality and the 'uncensored' cover/inner is in stunning condition.

Play grading

This 'uncensored' first pressing plays with stunning clarity, depth and powerful throughout.  Starting with 'Miss You' - I have never heard a 'cleaner' more definitive version, it is 'as new' without a doubt.  The other tracks on S1 are just as good although the final track 'Lies' does have a little inner groove distortion which you often find.  The clarity and warmth of the audio on S2 is just sensational.  The opening track 'Faraway Eyes' plays with wonderful depth and is as good as it would've been back in '78.  This clarity continues and 'Shattered' ends the side with imperious quality also.  A STUNNING album in every way.

Visual grading

The vinyl is in fantastic condition and still has a jet-black glossy sheen.  There is are no marks or scratches and only a small number of very faint sleeve removal hairlines but they are not easy to locate!  The grooves really are so clean and whilst this has been played a few times it has lost none of its original 'look'.

The Cover & 'Uncensored' Inner

The cover (with the album title in blue) is in beautiful condition and it practically 'as new' such is the condition.  Only the bottom two corners have a very minor crease and I do mean minor - it's something they could have picked up in the record shop!  The edges are in perfect condition and each die-cut 'head' is the same with no damage.  The front and back cover are unmarked, a stunning cover all round.  The inner is in immaculate with no side splits or marking.

Play tested on my Pro-Ject Essential III Turntable / B&W 684 Speakers

This record has been cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine

I grade according to "Record Collector" guidelines.
