THE ROLLING STONES

“LOS GRANDES EXITOS” – (The Big Hits)

(MILESTONES)

MEGARARE original Stereo London Records very first press released in Chile in 1974 by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon S.A. (Odeon Records), licensed from London Records Inc., U.S.A., catalog number (S)LLC-38645 with green LONDON ffrr labels, with matrix numbers XZAL-10776P. 2 AAR in Side A and XZAL-10777P. 3 in Side B. Yes, WHAT A FIND!!! Another rare Chilean press of a great album!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

THE ROLLING STONES’ “Los Grandes Exitos” was originally released in 1972 with the title “MILESTONES”, but in Chile this album was released in 1974 with the title “LOS GRANDES EXITOS” (THE BIG HITS) and like so many times in that period, we got it with an UNIQUE COVER!!! Cover is made of two single sheets of thin cardboard for front and back cover kept together for an outer plastic bag which’s also part of the cover. Front cover keeps strictly the same artwork of “Milestones”, with the title of the album written in Spanish only in both front and back cover. Back cover also keeps the original artwork but purple tinted, with album title in Spanish only and tracklist in English, translated to Spanish. In front cover is the face of Mick Jagger and in back cover is a set of pictures of other members with the name of them: Charlie, Bill, Brian… But the picture of Keith doesn’t have the name!!! Was it an error??? I don’t know, but something we know, this record is a GREAT FIND for all fans and collector of The Rolling Stones!!! And we got it for one of you!!!

The cover is in great VG+ or EX- condition both front and back cover, clean and complete, with no writings, ring marks or blemishes, only some light creases and moderate wear in all edges. The original outer plastic bag is present and has protected the fragil cover very well, but it’s in only VG- condition, with many little rips and a seam split from top to bottom at the spine, but not affecting the cardboards, as already informed the cover is made of 2 single cardboards and the cardboards are in VG+ or EX- condition. The record, however, is in VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean but with loads of light scuffs and hairlines and some light scratches, which proves this record saw many plays, but which mostly don’t affect sound. Labels on both sides are in absolute NM- or NM condition, with only minimal wear in the spindle hole and a name some past owner wrote in both sides. The sound is in great EX- or EX condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), only some occasional crackles, more evident in the silent parts between tracks and some clicks in the songs “Get Off My Cloud” and “Not Fade Away”, and in EX or EX+ condition the Side B, loud, clear and clean, no background noise, only light occasional crackles, which don’t affect the experience to listen and enjoy this great record. Overall, a nice record with an UNIQUE COVER and UNIQUE ALBUM TITLE worldwide, with still a very glossy look and a great sound quality after 38 years, a record to see and hear to enjoy from the beginning to the end, no repetitions, no sticks, no jumps, no distortions at all. WOW!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the cover and labels in detail.

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

_________________________________________________________

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.

IMPORTANT TO READ
