THE NASHVILLE FLAME - TRAGEDY OF THE ASHE COUNTY MINE
 45 RPM DJ PROMO RECORD

This rare record is a DJ promotional copy of "Tragedy of the Ashe County Mine," a song written by a stuntman and country/western singer who assisted Asheville, NC police to recover two bodies in the abandoned Ore Knob copper mine. The two murders were connected to drug deals. The stunt man, Johnny Sands, had legally changed his name to The Nashville Flame and produced this ballad based on the murders.

Record was released by Press Release Records in 1982 and is in excellent condition with no wear except for slight scratch on mono side. Picture sleeve has shelf wear but is intact and contains a picture of the Nashville Flame descending into the Ore Knob Mine to locate the bodies on the front and a copy of the article about the discovery on the back.
