Description

Original copy of rare garage/ surf LP. The Marauders. Check In With. Philadelphia Recording Center (PRC-64-303), 1964-65. 13 instrumental tracks of reverb heavy surf/ garage rock (Supertorque; Walk Don't Run; Out of Limits; Popcicles, Icicles; Penetration; Groundhog; Apache; Tequila; Wild Weekend; Guitar Boogie Shuffle; Wipeout; Wild Watusi; Pipeline). Record is VG- with usual surface wear plus lots of surface scratches that produce some noise in soft passages and at intro & end of tracks but does not overpower the music; there is one deeper 1/2" long scratch that runs through the last 1/2 of Track 3, Side B and first 1/2 of Track 4, Side B and causes a distinct pop but no skips. Overall a very listenable and enjoyable record. Black label with silver lettering VG with light wear and numerous small, black dots on Side B. Cover VG- with very obvious ring wear on front and considerable smudging on plain white back; no splits along seams; no writing or stickers.
