The Kinks were an English pop/rock group formed in 1963. They are cited among them as one of the most important and influential rock bands of all time. The group ’s original line-up consisted of Ray Davies (lead vocals, rhythm guitar and keyboards), Dave Davies (lead guitar and vocals), Pete Quaife (backing vocals and bass guitar), and Mick Avory (drums and percussion).
This, their second single, failed to make any impression on the charts selling only a minuscule number which made this the rarest of the Kinks singles, and while this is a very well played copy, given the rarety, I thought I would put it up for auction as a “collection filler” as this is the even rarer solid centre version of the single!
The single is on Pye Records, 7N 15636. Matrix side one: 45XX1636A-1M. Matrix side two: 45XX1636B-1M.
Released in 1964. UK pressing.
Condition: (as Record Collector's grading system. If I see a mark it will be mentioned however light/small, apart from the usual very light paper scuffs/marks - usually caused by record being removed from the inner sleeve, which appear on nearly all old records and which are only visible under strong light)
Vinyl side 1: good (well played, a lot of marks can be seen on the vinyl – I've tried to highlight the marks in the main photo – and it plays with a bit of distortion, but has no jumps, skips or clicks. Has writing on the label).

Comes in a Pye company sleeve.
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
