On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Kinks called "The Kinks" and is an ORIGINAL 1964 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Pye label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS IS ONE OF THE KINKS ALL TIME RAREST LPS EVER (LIKE THIS!) - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1964 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS (IN STEREO!), AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS 1ST PRESSED IN MEGA RARE STEREO!!!!  AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP!!!!  BACK IN 1964 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - MONOS ABSOLUTELY DOMINATED THE UK RECORD MARKET AND STEREOS WERE ONLY EVER PRESSED IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS!!!!  IN FACT, DEMAND FOR STEREOs WAS SO VERY TINY - THAT MOST SHOPS ONLY MADE THEM AVAILABLE BY 'SPECIAL ORDER ONLY' AND NEVER KEPT THEM IN STOCK AT ALL!!!!  AS A RESULT, FINDING AN ULTRA RARE UK 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP IN MEGA RARE STEREO - IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE - AS BARELY ANY WERE EVER MADE!!!!

THE MYTH ABOUT 'SO-CALLED' EXPORTS!!!!

Contrary to popular belief - this LP was never EVER made for Export!!!!  For some obscure reason that I simply can't understand - the UK's main Record Guide states this LP was ONLY ever made in STEREO for Export Only!!!!  To be fair - I simply followed the line (like many other people), and assumed that must be the case....  wrongly.  Then one day I noticed on the reverse of The Kinks 'Kinksize Session' EP, that this LP was advertised there!!!!  And it is advertised for sale in MONO and indeed STEREO!!!!  This made me curious and I checked out a few music adverts from the time, which also promote this LP in Mono AND Stereo (from various dates)!!!!  So clearly there was NEVER an 'Export' release for this LP AT ALL - as it was 100% definitely sold in STEREO in the UK!!!!  Possibly this Export myth stemmed from the 3rd Kinks LP 'Kink Kontroversy' - which is almost IMPOSSIBLE to find in Stereo.  However, again this myth would be easy to dispel by looking at copies of music magazines from the period.  And if that LP was advertised in Stereo - then that wasnt made for Export either.  Of course, the biggest joke is 'Face To Face', which everyone knows WAS sold in the UK in Stereo from 'day 1' - and yet that too is listed as 'Export Only' in Stereo - when it was blatantly NOT the case.  All other labels - Columbia, Parlophone, and Decca for example, ALWAYS had completely DIFFERENT Catalogue numbers (such as the CPCS series for Parlophone Beatles LPs) - so it baffles me why this LP is still listed as an Export issue....  when it obviously isnt!!!!  Of course, this wont be any news to true Kinks collectors, as they will have already worked this out for themselves - but others who dont know should be informed.  So to be clear - this LP was NEVER made for Export, and was fully available and sold in the UK in STEREO from 'day 1'!!!!  Of course - this LP is still very VERY rare indeed, as almost NO ONE bought Stereo copies in 1964 - with AT LEAST 95% being sold in common Mono!!!!  So YES this LP is still very VERY rare indeed!!!!  But is definitely NOT and never has been made for Export!!!!

THIS LP ALSO HAS A VERY DECENT 'STICKERED' STEREO COVER INDEED (WITH NO MAJOR DEFECTS AT ALL!) - AND A BRIGHT AND SHINY RECORD THAT PLAYS THROUGH ABSOLUTELY FINE!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1964 UK STEREO 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS PYE LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' FLIPBACK LAMINATED 'PATENTS PENDING' 'STICKERED' STEREO COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Pye UK 1st Pressing from 1964 and is SERIOUSLY rare in EVERY respect!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is NSPL 83021 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Pye label (see picture) and is a much MUCH rarer UK STEREO 1st Pressing!!!!

The record labels are in BRILLIANT condition (see pictures) with NO writing, NO wear, NO stickers, NO tears, and some spindle marking to either label!!!!  And although the vinyl isnt 100% perfect - it is still a VERY bright shiny example, and still plays well!!!!  Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable.  This one is NOT and has NO nasty concentric marks, only 3 or 4 small lateral hairline type marks, a few light hairlines, 2 or 3 light scufflines, and only a few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD IS STILL VERY BRIGHT & SHINY LOOKING INDEED!!!!  It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO skips, only a few VERY light clicks, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some slight background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - though this is lost WAY behind ALL but the VERY quietest parts of the music ONLY (and as 99% of this LP is very VERY loud indeed, it is still a GREAT listen!)!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!!  And although most people would grade higher than this - I will only MEGA STRICTLY grade the record Fair+ (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better!!!!  Essentially - this is a VERY bright & shiny record, has a few marks on either side (though nothing terrible AT ALL!) - but still plays WELL!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!   The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Garrod & Lofthouse' Flipback Laminated 'Patents Pending' STEREO 'Stickered' Cover is in GREAT condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), the usual few small creases to the edges, only a VERY few light creases elsewhere (cover is still VERY flat looking!), NO splits, NO rips, NO tears, some evidence of 'tipping in' to the corners, shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the unlaminated back is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, only 1 ULTRA faint stain trace along the opening edge (NOT a tape mark and VERY faint indeed!), NO yellowing, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, only 1 TINY 'age spot', and NO writing!!!!  The 'STEREO' Sticker on the reverse of the cover is in SUPERB condition - and has clearly NEVER been 'picked at' since it was put on the cover at the factory back in 1964!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - and is still a very VERY decent cover indeed!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE (ESPECIALLY IN MEGA RARE STEREO!) - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
