NOT MINT OR EXCELLENT BUT A GOOD PLAYING ORIGINAL COPY OF THIS GREAT DEBUT KINKS ABUM
Released in 1964 on the red PYE label, I am offering today this original first UK MONO pressing of this classic first KINKS album that is simply titled "THE KINKS". The album contains some great tracks including YOU REALLY GOT ME and BALD HEADED WOMAN.
The album was produced by Shel Talmy and comes complete with its original Garrod & Lofthouse patents pending front laminated flip back single sleeve which is free from stickers or splits etc but is showing a few laminate creases to the front and the back panel is slightly off colour and looks to have a previous owners name scratched out.
I have just played this through for these listing purposes and I am pleased to say that it plays well with absolutely no sticks or skips etc, but there is some crackle.
The VINYL, The Vinyl visually shows some scuffs and light scratches and audibly is in good condition, I have just played it through and am pleased to state that this is a nice player. This 60's vinyl was made to last and this plays through with absolutely no nasty sticks or skips etc.
The SLEEVE, The Original Garrod & Lofthouse patents pending front laminated flip back single sleeve is very good, the spine text is fully legible and there are no splits etc but there is some light creasing to the front panel and the back panel is slightly off colour and looks to have a previous owners name scratched out.
The LABELS, The original first issue red Pye labels are free from stickers etc but have writing on the label.
The INNER, The original pye company inner is clean and free from unwanted writing etc
I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
