THE JAM In The City MOD PUNK Vinyl Record 1st USA Press PD-1-6110 RARE 1977
Released during the height of the Punk movement, In The City successfully combines the raw aggression of Punk Rock with a stylish Mod swagger. Every song's an absolute banger, delivered with a ferocious intensity. Great stuff from start to finish.
This is a RARE 1st Press US edition that are becoming increasingly harder to find this side of the pond. It also has the RARE 1st Press 'MASTERDISK' printed in the dead wax suggesting the very earliest release.
VINYL: A very clean and shiny copy with only the slightest evidence of age related wear. The audio is stunning from start to finish. Difficult to find albums from this period in such good condition.
LABEL: The iconic red US Polydor labels are in excellent condition - no writing or marks. Side one has slight spindle wear (see picture).
ORIGINAL PRINTED LYRICS INNER: It still works and is able to house the vinyl safely. However, it shows signs of wear with a few small rips at the opening and a hole in the side.
SLEEVE: The heavy weight cardboard sleeve is in generally decent condition for an album from this period. It has some light evidence of ring wear and a few minor scuffs. The top right hand corner of the sleeve has been cut. This is because the vinyl was imported from the States and that is how customs used to identify this back in the day (see pictures). Apart from these minor features, the sleeve still looks great.
This record has been play tested, honestly described and carefully graded.
