original 1968 U.S. MONO press of LP on Mainstream label
THE GROWING CONCERN ( self titled)
promotional copy ~ has rubber stamp designation on back ~ see scan #3
CONDITION:
cover: VG/ VG+
lite shelf wear/soiling ~ lite wear/fray/small bumps to edges & corners
lite ring ~ tiny nick to opening edge ( at back)
top edge is totally split with edge paper fray ( paper missing in spots)
stereo printed cover has manufacturer mono sticker on front
vinyl: VG/VG+
clean & glossy ~ several tiny surface marks, a couple of small minor scuffs
& numerous small lite surface scratches ~ all superficial
A side opens with some lite crackle & a few lite clicks, but, settles down a bit thereafter ~
remainder plays with a few odd occasional lite clicks & a bit of occasional lite crackle in
a few spots ~ most noticeable between cuts, but, in some quieter moments,too
nothing loud or bad, but, noticeable
In my opinion, this is perhaps the best release on the label ~ musically, it's right up there
with Neighb'rhood Childr'n or Yankee Dollar
