THE ADDICTED MAN by THE GAME recorded on Parlophone , Where does one start with this record . The history of the band is well documented releasing several singles on three different labels of which all are hard to find and sought after . By the time THE ADDICTED MAN was released (their third single) the group had aquired a hard raw sound quite amazing considering they were only in the teens and were probably influenced by THE WHO . So what makes this record so rare , firstly it was voted a miss on the popular TV show JUKE BOX JURY and the immediatly withdrawn from sale by PARLOPHONE (probably because of the lyrics more than been voted a miss ) . So there,s the history now here is the reality .
This record has been sought after by collectors for decades , In my 20 years of collecting have only ever seen three copys two of which were demo,s one of which was recently sold for 1100.00 . This record is an ISSUE and the only one i have ever seen .I cannot stress its rarity remember PARLOPHONE withdrew this record after a few days of its release , though im not sure of the amount that went in to circulation it was only a very small amount if any . This record is know as one of the rarest records of the sixties only surpassed by MIDSUMMER NIGHTS SCENE by JOHNS CHILDREN.Thats not a plug to sell (every body seems to say their records are the rarest for sale on EBAY at the moment ) Thats a true fact . This record is on offer for sale for the next ten days im pretty sure you will never see another offered on Ebay or anywhere else for along time to come .
I have graded this record very strictly (please see my feed back to show that i grade my records very accuratly) The record is a very strong VG+ I probably could get away with EX but Considering its value im happy to grade VG + . It plays perfect and there are no sounds or hissing etc . Label is nice with no writing and just a tiny show of wear on the spindle hole . Serious bidders only please do not bid if you cannot honour your payment .
