THE FOUR SOUNDS and the Lawrence Keyes Trio 45
"Afraid" / "Tall Lanky Papa"
Very RARE Doo Wop/R&B! "Afraid" is a beautiful ballad with great male vocal harmonies while "Tall Lanky Papa" is a fantastic rocker with a jaw-dropping/mind-blowing guitar solo in the middle section!
This is an original pressing, as indicated by the thick lines and purplish tone of the blue (as opposed to the repros) on the center labels and the center ridge. Matrix numbers are hand-etched on dead-wax and read M 310-1 and M 310-2 with 26C and the letter M (or the number 3?) etched vertically. Both sides have been play-tested and plays EXCELLENT! In addition, this is from a store's deadstock box so the quality is like-new.
Visually Graded Record VG++; beautiful copy, center labels are clean (see photos) and both sides are shiny. A few light hairline scratches are present and the lead-in grooves have light wear from storage but obviously do not affect play.
