VINYL is NM
Thick solid, full gloss vinyl has a couple of very faint sleeve marks, viewed in hard bright light. LP plays Like New throughout. Original issue gold "Big E" labels are super clean both sides.

COVER is EX-
Unipak gatefold has light shelf wear and faint "•D•" stamped on back, l.r. corner. Very clean inside and out. Solid seams and spine. No splits.

.The Doors inimitable raw sound, surrealistic elements and Morrison's fine poetry make this LP a genuine Doors classic.

Besides the afore-mentioned major chart hit from the LP, there is much else here of excellent quality: Five to One is the group at its most forceful. To all warnings from his legions of followers to take it easy Jim shouts “No one here gets out alive!” and that he's ready and willing to trade in his hours for a handful of dimes. We didn’t know what he was talking about at the time but he was walking down a one-way street toward Dylan’s desolation row and no one could stop him. The over-indulgences Jim couldn’t resist were just beginning to take their toll.

Not to Touch The Earth has a constantly growing aggressive chant spinning up to it's atavistic climax, containing the famous "Lizard King" phrase ... Unknown Soldier,  the Vietnam protest song, combined ethereal and conventional pop/rock elements to stunning effect. There was an infamous film shot for this tune, where Morrison get's shot in the impressionistic execution sequence.

Side 2 starts with Spanish Caravan, revealing the magic fingers -ala Latin/folk/flamenco stylings of guitarist Robby Krieger. Along with evocations of Albenitz guitar suites are swirling psychedelic sound textures. My Wild Love uses an archaic Indian chant, painting visions of Native singers dancing around nocturnal fires in the desert; much else that is subtle and more impressionistic than Some earlier Doors songs, that grows on the listener rather than hitting you direct in the face...

An LP full of effective and evocative moods that only The Doors could have recorded.
